Open Relay
2026 Relay Team Registration
Registration for Open Relay teams is OPEN. Relay team slots are LIMITED and will be first-come, first-served.

Relay teams must consist of at least two people. There are no solo relay teams allowed.

PACKET PICK UP DATE:
- June 6th, 2026
REGISTRATION FEE:
- Open Relay Teams: $486.00 per team member (inclusive of fees)
AGE LIMIT:
- Must be 18-years or older on race day.
HOW TO COMPETE ON A RELAY TEAM:
A relay team is made up of two or three participants. Each member completes at least one leg of the triathlon. The timing chip acts as the “baton” and is handed off to the next relay team member during transition.
COURSE DISTANCES:
- Swim: 1.5 miles (San Francisco Bay)
- Bike: 18 miles
- Run: 8 miles
RELAY PROCESS:
- The Swimmer (1.5 mile swim) is responsible for completing the swim and the warm-up transition run from the swim exit to the main Transition Area.
- The Cyclist (18 mile bike) and the Runner (8 mile run) must wait in Transition in the Relay Corral.
- The Swimmer passes the timing chip (the “baton”) to the Cyclist.
- The Cyclist passes the timing chip to the Runner, who completes the 8-mile run to the Finish Line at Marina Green.
