Honoring Escape Heroes

Over the years, the stories of our participants, or Escapees as we call them, have often left us amazed and inspired. We knew our Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon community rocked, and the coronavirus pandemic has amplified that fact tenfold.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing the stories and insights of Escape Heroes - members of our wonderful community who are critical infrastructure workers, combating COVID-19 day in and day out through their professions in public health and safety, and community well-being.

These Q & A's will give you a glimpse into the lives of those you may have stood next to at Marina Green or sat next to on the shuttle or boat. By sharing these stories, our hope is to emerge more connected, more compassionate, and more appreciative of not only this incredible race, but the individual racers and their unique journeys that will lead us into a better future.
