Charity Partners

The Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon partners with a number of charities that have race spots available to the public.

Each charity provides their own requirements for entry into the race, primarily through a fundraising program. This is a great way to guarantee your entry into the race and help a worthy cause in the process.

Check out our confirmed 2024 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon charities below. GOLD LEVEL CHARITY PARTNERS

The Healy Foundation (THF) has entries available for the 2024 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon!!! For information about joining THF's team, please email jamesf@healyfoundation.org.

THF seeks to step in and give under-resourced, high-performing college juniors and seniors the financial means to finish their education at a time when unexpected personal hardship jeopardizes their academic aspirations. Unanticipated adversity (e.g., death of a parent, parental unemployment, family illness) during one’s college education is an undeniable challenge for any student; however, the financial burden of such personal setbacks puts low-income students at increased risk of dropout and academic regression, obscuring their pathway to financial security. BRONZE LEVEL CHARITY PARTNER

In 2013, Team Bright Side started as a fledgling team of six people trying to feel a sense of control after our founder heard those four words that changed her life: "Your child has cancer." Her son is now a cancer survivor, and Team Bright Side is an unstoppable force that will keep racing and raising money until no parent ever hears those four words again. Our team is about staring down that seemingly impossible task right before you and choosing to grow through the experience. Whether you're curing cancer or training for a triathlon, there's a bright side in everything. We'll help you find it.

Over the past nine years, we have trained more than 775 athletes to compete in the sport of triathlon. We've done all this to raise money to fund research that will eradicate pediatric blood cancers once and for all.
