PROCESS FOR PROFESSIONAL TRIATHLETES

First, you must have official status as a professional and be able to provide your USAT Pro License number or a similar license from your national governing body. All Professional Triathletes wishing to compete should contact us first, please email info@EscapeAlcatrazTri.com with "Professional Athlete" as the subject line.

The pro field for the 2023 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon will be publicly announced in the spring.

ABOUT

Throughout the 40+ year history of the race, professional triathletes have been an integral part of the race's success - setting the bar high with race records and inspirational performances. Olympians, tenured legends, young phenoms on the rise - the pro field has long been one-to-watch at the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon.

In 2023 the pros will join 2,000 amateur triathletes on the Hornblower, and lead the charge every step of the way. From the jump off the boat to breaking the tape at the finish line, the energy they bring to the course is contagious.

Leading up to race weekend, keep an eye on the Escape Alcatraz Tri social media channels for tips and advice from competing pros.

During race weekend, whether you're an amateur athlete or spectator, you'll have the opportunity to see these pros do their thing up close, maybe even exchange a high five or word of encouragement...the beauty of the Tri community!
